STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION
2026 Scholarship Information
The Indiana Structural Engineers Association (ISEA) is offering scholarships to outstanding university students studying Structural Engineering and who plan to pursue a professional career in the practice of Structural Engineering. This year ISEA will award up to three $3,000 scholarships for use towards tuition, books, supplies, and/or living expenses. The submittal requirements and process, evaluation criteria, and award description for the scholarship program are outlined below.
Deadline for receipt of application, transcript and all other supporting documentation is February 9, 2026.
Participation in the Scholarship Program is offered to candidates attending the following Indiana universities.
- Purdue University (all campuses)
- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology
- Trine University
- University of Evansville
- University of Notre Dame
- Valparaiso University
Additional Requirements:
- Candidates must be a Junior or Senior currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering program with an emphasis in Structural Engineering.
- Candidates must have a commitment to making a professional career in the practice of Structural Engineering.
How To Apply:
- Complete the application form at this link.
- Provide an official transcript for all universities attended showing courses taken and grades received (a link will be provided after completion of the application form).
- Provide a letter of recommendation from a professor or employer. Letters of recommendation should be relevant to structural engineering (a link will be provided after completion of the application form).
Submittal Process
Submittals must be received no later than February 9, 2026.

Evaluation and Grading Criteria
Review of candidate submissions by the ISEA Scholarship Committee will be based on the following criteria:
- Classes and GPA
- Experiences in extra-curricular activities
- Career aspirations
- Essay
- Recommendation letter
- Award preference will be given to Indiana residents
Award of Scholarship
Applicants will be notified of results by February 18, 2026. The scholarship award recipients will be invited to attend the ISEA Spring Conference on March 5, 2026 to be recognized.
Scholarship awards will be sent via Zelle or a paper check if preferred by the award recipient.
