Presented by Logan Cook, PE

Project Profile

Ongoing water infiltration was occurring at the ziggurat step and statue level above the colonnade roof areas and into the interior and mausoleum. Many historic plaster finishes and murals had been damaged as a result of the ongoing water leakage. The State of Indiana retained WJE to assess the areas of ongoing water infiltration and develop repair or replacement recommendations.

This is an AIA accredited presentation.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Develop understanding for history and design of Indiana War Memorial Monument
  2. Discuss the performance of the Indiana War Memorial
  3. Discuss the investigation techniques utilized to identify causes of the envelope performance issues.
  4. Discuss the design of the repairs to the envelope to address identified envelope issues.
